Post Google cardboard work in moto g 2nd gen?

The magnet halfway down the screen at the bottom of the volume control works for me. To find the exact spot, just move a fridge magnet over the screen until it blanks out. The hall effect sensor is in the phone so you can glue a magnet into your phone case to automatically close the screen and...

Post Qi Wireless charging Moto G 2014

I bought 3 of the big flat rubbery looking charger pads on EBay for trying this out since I thought that my Moto G 2nd might fall off those round hockey puck looking chargers. I am very pleased. The chargers work, but the charging cables you use to plug the charging pad to the source can make...

Post FM Radio Headphone -Not- Required

Something like that, the connection from ring or tip going open flips a nand gate somewhere, enabling the fm radio... Main thing is that it works for those on limited data plans, or those like myself who have ripped scores of earphone cords!

Thread No Root No Ads Equalizer Fully Featured!

I have been using Audio FX for years. It is free in PlayStore, has no Ads, and has the following features: 1. Bass boost 2. Virtualizer to increase the apparent space between left and right channels 3. Reverb (echo) to simulate anything from a small room to a large concert theatre 4...

Post FM Radio Headphone -Not- Required

I doubt if a short matters, but filing it down you can see two concentric rings not conntected to anything. If you are then worried, you can put a teeny dab of black caulking compound on the two rings and let it dry. The antenna is capacitively and inductively coupling to the circuitry/wiring...

Thread FM Radio Headphone -Not- Required

I found a substitute for the 'headphone antenna' in the Moto G 2nd, but suspect that this will work for any phone as well. I live in a city with about 20 FM stations and do not want to suck data, nor wear those fragile buds. I always use bluetooth. What I did was just plug in a headphone plug...

Post [RECOVERYs] [ROMs] [UNLOCK BL] ASUS Memo Pad HD 7 (me173x) [MT8125] [MULTILANG]

I noticed the same thing. I don't think it could be the socket because when I unroot, the problem of the 'loose unmounting uSD card' completely disappears... I think it has to do with the software or driver

Post Asus Memo Pad HD7 - Threads? Root? Roms?

I think most cpu manufacturers want all their cpus to pass the minimum specificiations. That way they have no throw aways. Therefore the vast majority if not all of the cpus will be able to be undervolted while being able to overclock. When you do that you have to carefully test it, like for...

Post [APP][2.2+] Loopr - Bubble Launcher

Good idea! This works fine in Halo, so it would be nice to see as a standalone for Android. For my Asus tablet, this has a bug. It does not seem to switch between the state where you left each app. I use my tablet for reading an Adobe pdf and then switching over to some app such as GMail and...

Post Asus Memo Pad HD7 - Threads? Root? Roms?

You could add one of the stock IC's to do that as well. The standard voltage doubler chips 'float' the ground, which also presents a problem. Most USB memory stick type devices use some type of low power MOS would all work just fine at the lower voltage. I was originally thinking of adding...

Post Asus Memo Pad HD7 - Threads? Root? Roms?

I think the main problem is that the same uUSB socket is used to charge the battery. So you also have to install a blocking diode in series to prevent the two '+' voltage supplies meeting each other as well. And the forward bias voltage for the series blocking diode will further drop the...

Post Asus Memo Pad HD7 - Threads? Root? Roms?

The battery is 4 Volts. So you would put a series resistor from the '+' side of the battery to the '+' side of a zener, and the '-' side of the zener to ground. You can then power the uUSB from the '+' side of the zener. I put the series resistor as an example. I think most small devices...

Post Asus Memo Pad HD7 - Threads? Root? Roms?

Other Asus MeMo Pad HD7 Features? I wonder if anyone has explored some of the other features on the HD7? 1) Miracast: I notice the HD7 has a menu for Miracast, and I also see Miracast dongles selling on EBay for around $15 and up. Miracast is supposed to let you mirror your tab on to a HDTV...

Post Asus Memo Pad HD7 - Threads? Root? Roms?

Disconnecting battery My MeMo pad HD7 just failed to boot, no custom rom installed, but it was rooted. When I followed the instructions to open the cover screen size up, a 1.5" x 0.25" flexible strip of rubber fell off also. Where should this strip mount back on the board? Looking at the...
