it's not the apps i'm not worried about - on my old lumia, whenever i transferred music and stuff it'd create a sync group of a list of songs that i could have automatically sync to the phone. but since the phone has been replaced, i can't find an option to use the previous phone's sync group.

try getting zune to find the album info. that should let it show in the phone when you re-sync the music.

if you're on o2 pay monthly you can unlock your phone for free on their website. it takes 2 weeks max, and the SIM must be in the handset at all times (don't put the SIM into a different phone) O2 unlocking form don't worry about it mentioning the iphone. it works for most o2 locked phones.

i have noticed this with carrier branded phones - it doesn't show the nokia apps in the market, nor does it appear when you search for it.

mine is okay when i'm not in the house. i was out all day, listening to music and my battery ended up at around 76% from full (which i was very impressed by). but when i went home, by evening the battery had gone down far enough that battery saver turned on. i'd turned off my wifi, too, seeing...

i didn't use a screen protector on my lumia - actually i've never used a screen protector before (i just know i'll put it on badly). i also found the rubber-ish case provided is terrible for keeping your phone clean. somehow dust gets underneath it and just makes the phone look horrible.

it seems lots of people own the s2 and are considering the lumia 800 :) the reason i bought my lumia, was because i tried the wp7 theme on android and thought to myself "i wonder what it's really like on a proper wp7 phone". stalled in choosing them because all i saw were re-dressed htc desire...

i'm getting much improved music, but battery discharge seems around the same as before the update. maybe the discharge rate is lower when i'm not looking at it, though, because i end the day with decent battery life.

^ i got the opposite result - normally i have WLAN turned on at all times, because it always connects to wifi at home and at work. my battery lasted much longer (it lasted the night with 39% left, as opposed to going flat sometime in the night) with just the 3g turned on.

my battery was okay before the update through zune, but now it seems to discharge much faster doing nothing. it'll discharge 50 to 60% overnight, at times.

my local phones 4 u sell them in my area (reading town centre). i bought a light blue one there - they seem to be the official nokia ones, too.
