Do the Pixel phone have a special driver or something? ADB recognizes the Pixel when powered on but when in recovery, it can't find any devices.

Dont work for anyone. My original Nexus 6 was in a boot loop so they sent me a refurbished one and this happened.

Maybe future builds because the one i got was an old one
