Use something like Gsam Battery monitor to look for wakelocks. Other than that, if you want to stay stock, consider a factory reset and then reload apps slowly to see which one is causing the problem.

FWIW, I still got the loop this morning on 8/15 DirtyV - SR with Omnimetal on Toro. I turned off Tasker, rebooted, and no loop. Turned Tasker back on, still no loop. I will let it run for 24 hours, reboot and see what happens. P. S. I loaded 4/19 and found it to be bootloop free as...

No bootloop on Test3 after install, but just got it after 23 hrs uptime. Toro, TWRP, Trickster, Omnimetal.

bsmitty, very much admire your persistence in working the reboot issue in the face of how random it appears to be. I've had it come and go as I flash new versions of the kernel. I use TWRP, Trickster mod and Omnimetal. I've seen it on Dalvik and ART. Thanks for all your hard work...

That does sound exciting, but the latest Omnimetal with metal's SmittyV ver. 2 is working great already. It would be nice to have the kernel baked into the ROM with whatever settings he feels work best.

Same here. Since Omnimetal switched to Dirty, I've been chasing battery drain, SODs, reboots, and boot up loops. I've learned so much from everyone here about flashing kernels, trickster settings, wake locks, undervolting, and... electronic music?! But with the performance of Smitty...

Somewhere in this thread this was discussed, and works for me: Hold all three buttons when "Google" disappears to get into recovery. Hit reboot in there and it works.

Are you on the kernel that comes with the ROM--DirtyV? I'm having crazy battery drain among other issues, but I dirty flashed over an older version. I'm following the issues with this kernel in that thread.

Ah, that's it. I have 4.3 on the GNex. Thanks for the link to the hacked flash--it's working. The app in the sig, is "viral". It looks cool, but I haven't tried it yet.

I have a GPE and can't get flash to work in Firefox, Dolphin, or the AOSP browser. Works on my GNex. Puzzling.

I just got my GPE too. After pulling the update and unlocking the bootloader :), I started to set it up with Action Launcher, but ended up with Nova. Nova supports 4.4 's transparent notification bar--I like the look. I also like no icon labels. I haven't messed with the IR blaster yet.
