Since your just booting rc1 you should be fine. Rc2 will remain your installed recovery, but you don't want to forget to reboot rc1 in the case of a restore. And if your having some issue you might not be able to do that. Just a thought. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

It is true for at least some folks, 3 that I know of, and I assume more as the issue was already known. One thing, I don't know if it is important or not, but all three tried to use the OTA. At least 2 of them tried flashing it thru TWRP. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

TWRP will not boot on 7.1.2. At least that's the conclusion formed last night in #twrp while the devs were working with someone else with this issue. I don't think they know why yet, but I doubt it will be overly long til they figure it out. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk

Power device off, use key combo (power+voldown) to boot bootloader. Fastboot flash stock boot.img to both slot a and b. Then reboot, take the OTA, or sideload it. Reboot. Now reboot to bootloader, fastboot boot TWRP, then reboot to twrp. Now you can flash TWRP to keep it as the recovery, or just...

The exploit used to toggle the OEM unlock in dev settings was patched. And I'm pretty sure that the locked bootloader won't accept a downgrade, so if that is a Verizon pixel your basically stuck. But, I could be wrong, sadly, I don't think I am. Hope you find a solution, but not likely to...
