I think its related to commits in 28 Oct, maybe BFS. i manually cherry-picked commits without BFS on 28 Oct (ezekeel fixes) it works well

Kernel built from 27 oct commits doesn't have the issue. I'm using crespo + cm nightly. Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium

i tried to compile a kernel with your source with 28 oct commits, after using a while(like 20 mins or more), the network(wifi/3g) would stop working, had to reboot to get it work again. Tried 29 Oct too, it still exists, now trying 27 oct commits to have a control experiment.

So what would trigger deep idle? Would it go to deep idle when playing music? i cannot read the code but i'm interested in how does it work :)

any idea what does it do?:)
