Post [Q] Sagely advice on increasing P500 performance

Use a launcher from android market instead of the LG one. It will make your homescreen and app drawer FEEL smoother without actually changing anything. I recommend Launcher Pro. Beside that....nope, there's nothing much else you can really do. Honestly rooting, flashing roms etc is very easy...

Post [Q] Difference Between vSync On or vSync OFF *DEVELOPERS JOIN US*

Using franco's v19.4 gbs by fserve with Mik's 6.5.7. I've tried kernels with v-sync on/off by default but I haven't notice any great difference. I think it feels a bit smoother with v-sync on?

    Post Alternate to adhoc networks(Connectify)

Its been out for at least 1 year now. It works well for people who don't have wifi routers (like me) and I've been using for 6 months now for both my laptop and the O1 without problems.

Post [Q] OC with PaoloM70's OC Gingerbread kernel

How much you can over-clock really depends from device from device. Some O1s are lucky and can OC to 806 but some never make it pass 729. Give Franco a try (its an awesome kernel regardless) but if it doesn't work it probably just mean that your phone can't OC to 806 (like mine) and just stick...

Post What earplugs are you using with O1

I'm using a pair of Sony Mdr-310lp. Bought them for around $35. Really comfortable, good (but not excessive) bass, just a little sibilance in the highs but its fine after burn in. Very high improvement on the ones that came with the O1. I remember trying them once before throwing it in the bin.

Post [Q] Which Memory card brand do you Prefer and what class

Same, just using a class 4 Sandisk 8gb card that came with my phone when I bought it off the store. No problem with it (don't find it slow) but my music collection IS starting to fill up the space pretty quick (I blame FLAC:D) so I'm thinking of a new card. What does everyone here think? Does...

Post [Q] LG P500 Stock Apps and Widgets and How can i OC?

Try using Titanium backup to backup the stuff you want from your 2.3.3 stock rom and restore them again when you re-flash cyanogen. And yeah there really is no harm to over-clocking (I mean, you're not going to use your phone for 5 years are you?)

Post [discussion]LG P500 mik_os's port of cyanogenMOD7, problems, questions, and answers.

Hi I'd like to report a curious bug that I'm having on my O1. I've just flashed mik's beta6.5.7(stable) with franco's v1-16082011 kernel, upgrading from stock 2.3.3 (V20E). The problem is that when using the phone whilst charging the screen becomes unresponsive to touch (like, if I try to...

Post KDZ updater error (my phone is NOT @emergency mode anymore ;D)

If you can boot into emergency mode (hold volume up + back and insert USB at the same time) then your phone is NOT bricked. Try with kdz, and make sure you have all the drivers installed.
