Post [Q] Buyer Advise for TF701T

I think eventually we will see Asus come out with something big. It may not be too soon. I think they learned their lesson about putting stuff out soon. For a lot of what Asus makes quality is very important. But pushing out too many tablets too soon has reduced buyer confidence. They will...

    Post TWRP On TF701T

I like TWRP, I think it makes sense to have it working with touch. I can only think of 2 examples why it looks like its needed. Multirom and omnirom. Dont know otherwise.I dont really know about porting it? I t would be worth it. Here is is a guide on doingit but its very much to go through...

Post [Recovery][05.04.2014][tf701t] CWM 6.0.4.7 Advanced Edition / PhilZ Touch 6.25.9

Oh do you mean your speakers were always dead before using the recovery? So far I think the recovery is ok. One thing that might be interesting but possibly unrelated: The only sound issues I ever had was on my nexus 7 2012 after replacing the usb port I got off ebay. It wasnt charging cause...

Post [Recovery][05.04.2014][tf701t] CWM 6.0.4.7 Advanced Edition / PhilZ Touch 6.25.9

Here is an updated philz touch advanced recovery 6.59.0/6.0.5.1 (fully working with touch afaik,no longer officially supported) WARNING: Possible past sound issues. Seems to be unrelated. Sound is ok here. Read the thread. Decide for yourself...

Post [Recovery][05.04.2014][tf701t] CWM 6.0.4.7 Advanced Edition / PhilZ Touch 6.25.9

I think I will try to compile this with the most recent version including the touch code if that's not going to be too difficult. I just hope I won't have a permanent sound prob. I did not have a sound prob but then again I didn't try it very much. So we'll see.

Post Native Linux for Asus tf701t

For the youtube videos. I dont know if this is the problem. Could you use the chromium pepper flash package? Is that there? would that make the you tube vids work I wonder. Its a package that seems to allow you to use flash in arm linux afaik. But then again they did say they switched to all...

Post Native Linux for Asus tf701t

I tried this without a dock. Got quite far. Used a usb hub and vivo adapter. Had root filesystem on a usb thumb drive. I had also tried putting the root filesystem on a microsd card. I was hoping to make a dock free solution. It would not pick up the microsd card. Not sure what happened or if...

Post [Q] still buy a dock?

It looks quite nice I think its just a bit too expensive for me. Otherwise I guess it would be quite useful. The thing is I dropped the tablet a couple times and if something were to happen to it, which it could, I would want to fix it myself or say to hell with it. I just recently replaced the...

    Post Gaming frustrations

I just tested witchers battle arena on the nexus 7 with lp just to see and that is a no go either. Doesn't matter to me anymore anyway. A game has to be pretty good for me to even look. For gaming if anything I just use steam Linux.

Ya I know what you mean. The real problem is developers have to support thousands of devices now, all with different versions and configurations.

    Post Gaming frustrations

I just tried witcher battle arena and it installed and crashed at start. I think its just some ironing out they need to do. If it says It isnt compatable. Im not sure what it is. Just contact the developer and give them a log if you're rooted or just report it. Kotor says its $5.80 Here. Does...

Maybe contact Asus and see if they will fix it anyway if the sound is really important. Its would look good on them at this stage for having made flaky speakers. I dont know if I would contact asus myself. But it is worth a try.

I dont see any sonicmaster speaker parts. Maybe its blown who knows. I've seen some of those bluetooth speakers are fairly nice? At least you would have better sound.
