Post [GUIDE][ROOT] Newest Root Method for LG devices

works Confirmed this first method works on my new LG G3 model D855 20u, Android 5.0 stock, thanks! The progress bar doesnt move from 0% on the phone when in download mode after running root.bat, but if you then ctrl-c, N, and take the battery out the phone, when it restarts, it is rooted and...

    Post [ROM]★★[KitKat 4.4.2][CROMi-X 7.1 r2][11.4.1.29/30][Aug 03]★★

quick update, after moving that DRM file libwvdrmengine.so , i've been getting almost 2 days deep sleep on my TF701 when i close the lid, (see from the attached screenshot) and for some happy reason i no longer lose the trackpad focus on re-opening the tablet. DRM doesnt seem adversly affected...

nope, spoke too soon.. this again stopped it going into deep sleep (checked with Wakelock Detector). I've just moved that libwvdrmengine.so file out into a temp directory for now, rebooted, and the tablet is again getting deep sleep recorded. Think i'll just leave it out for now until it gets...

berndlb, i replaced the file libwvdrmengine.so as buda5767 mentions in post #510 with the one in that repository, under the asus directory branch. seemed to do the trick.

    Post [ROM]★★[KitKat 4.4.2][CROMi-X 7.1 r2][11.4.1.29/30][Aug 03]★★

think i got a bit too agressive with my wakelock process isolation, i seem to have lost touch input to the screen. Touch works fine when i first reboot, but after i turn off the screen, and then come back, it seems to stop. I'm just using the touchpad on the keyboard for now as workaround. can...

Well done! Have done the same and will report back. Looks like the battery drain due to nvavp has been noticed & bug-reported in the CM snapshots few days ago - mentions it may have been initiated in the last Asus 4.4 update? Cause sounds close to what i'm reading in these threads. Here's the...

Ok, i've managed to slow the battery drain on my TF701 (for now). Here's how i was able to do it: (these all rely on your tablet being rooted, and thanks to the other commenters in this thread for the tips) - install the Disable Services app, this allows you to disable specific components of...

    Post [ROM]★★[KitKat 4.4.2][CROMi-X 7.1 r2][11.4.1.29/30][Aug 03]★★

installed this rom, seems good, but finding my touchpad on the keyboard dock doesnt come back always after i open the tablet again.. Its weird though, as the other buttons like brightness up/down, touchpad on/off, home key etc all seem to work, so that suggests the problem is in software, not...

Post [4.4.4] DN4 (Ditto Note 4) ROM by E-team (Electron Team) - Development Stopped.

Cheers :) Just a suggestion - maybe the dev's could put that link you've posted above on the first page of this thread under the downloads section? - otherwise there is no way you would know that you have to apply these when you follow the instructions. Thanks again, i'll start applying them now..

do i need to patch the main DN4 installed ROM, and if so, where are they? OK, i have just installed this DN4 ROM 2 days ago, coming from the DN3. So far It seems really great and the battery life seems much better than i was previously getting on DN3. I'm wondering, do i need to install any of...

    Post TF701 Root

Video was good, i just finished using it to get root back and put a custom CWM recovery in (i had lost root after using the unlock tool a few weeks ago). Especially liked the bit about deleting those 2 system files - didnt know you had to do that. One problem with the video is - you dont...
