Well, I'd love for it to launch the camera from locked screen, the same as double press on power button does. Any ideas on how to achieve this?

Just create a text file, copy values in it as they appear here in this thread, save the file as lux_profiles.lux and copy it into the folder storage/sdcard0/Lux
