You should flash fresh Gapps zip after ROM. And do not any system backups. I had problem like yours when flashing old Gapps zip.

You should make all steps needed for coming from stock. For isorec you should not flash it. I am not flash it. But if you really want to use your phone better repartition it. Cause art really eat 2Gb apps space.

I used pit file via Odin for repartition and no any problems.

Which SuperSu zip file you flashed?

For repartition it looks like you not did it, cause your partitions stay stock. Need repeat. For next let to know what you CWM you have. For root you need activate it in settings for apps and adb and need install SuperSU via recovery(follow first post)

Not work only on Nightowl? Did you check 4.0 stock ROM. If only Nightowl issue try different modems. If not help try format all and after install.

Just flash it in recovery. Not sure, but after error message make wipe data/cash, flash again, it reboot in CWM and you can finally flash ROM and gapps. Something like that.

All ROM`s use this. Recompiling not help. There is only way to repartition device memory for increasing /data. I make it on my n7000. But not sure that files for n7000 not brick p1000 if use it.
