    Hi, I have the same problem and have tried several themes, I'm pretty sure none of them corrected it. I'm on MIUI Global 7.2.4.0 Stable (can't change the ROM yet, but I will as soon as I can).

    This is not useless at all. I wouldn't rely on this method to recover my phone if it's stolen, I just want to know if someone tries to unlock it without my permission :) And people do try to unlock it when they find it, unless they know further about Android and its possibilities.
