I was not able to re-download 0716 from the RobbieL811's gapps site. Instead, I found there 0728 which is working fine for me so far (more than 3 hours with it). 0717 had been lagging heavy after the first hour. I flashed dirty, only the new 0728 gapps, over the 0721 SlimLP with 0717 gapps...

I have similar experience. I think it is because r52 and r52.5 provide 528MB which is lower than r49. I personally removed all widgets to reduce the memory demand and it helped me a lot. Also, I clear regularly the apps from "Last Oppened Apps", especially when I find the phone slow in...

Confirm, working perfectly for me (after clean install).

Check your connectivity from your other WiFi devices (by Speedtest or a similar tool) before and after the router reboot. In my case the results differ a lot.

It happens to me with one of my WiFi routers now and then. If I check at that moment the download speed, packet loss and round trip time all of them are terrible. Reboot of my WiFi router always helps me in this case.

Sultan's kernel r48 for CM11 works with this ROM - I'm using this combination with 550MB available RAM.
