The Huawei Mate 8 is a high-range Android phablet, released in China in November 2015, with a global release in Q1 2016. The Mate 8 has a 6" 1080p IPS-NEO LCD display with Gorilla Glass 4. It features a HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset, with a 2.3GHz octa-core processor and Mali T880 GPU. It comes with either 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, or 4GB of RAM and a choice of 64GB or 128GB internal storage. Both can be expanded by up to 128GB using a microSD card in the second SIM slot. The Huawei Mate 8 has a 16MP camera on the rear, with optical image stabilization and phase detection autofocus, while the front features an 8MP camera. Other features include a fingerprint sensor and a whopping 4000mAh battery with quick charging capability. The Mate 8 runs Huawei's own EMUI 4.0 user interface, based on Android Marshmallow.
