i was able to make it work ... after first boot and being stuck at a black screen remove the back case and remove the battery then boot into bootloader >> recovery >> wipe cache & Dalvik cache >> reboot >> voila :p

Try adding this to build.prop and reboot :
ro.ril.disable.mcc.filter=1
:) i can't believe that a single line fixed it , but when i go to flight mode & then switch back to network i can't connect to wifi networks.
but at least i got wifi sem...
