It's come with a cypress digitizer...
On the digitizer chip, I have read CY8-CTMA340-LQI.
Is it possible that the X8 cypress digitizer is multitouch capable?
If in a terminal you type df, you can see your disk usage per partition.

Go to Settings - System - Power Widget - Widget Buttons, then click on Sound modes and select only Silent and Sound. Then this shouldn't happen anymore.

About Cypress sources you posted in first post...
Assuming that you've set up Linux machine properly
Place the driver to kernel sources/drivers/input/touchscreen
Remove any other cypress drivers from there to avoid confusion.
Take a look at U2...
