I did some more research and found that the motox XT1053 is missing LTE bands 5 & 7 according to this page:

but then it shows AT&T US...

For me, absolutely. I went as far as to buy a second Dev edition in case I ever break mine. If you're a power user, it might not be for you because of the dual core or lower clock speed. Also if you're a bit of a flashaholic, not much development ...
