About access to external SD card (OTG) from HBOOT. I can confirm that an external SD card was read by the HBOOT process when connected to the OneX. I used the following cable:
First off, nice guide. I am still trying to understand why you've moved adb and fastboot from platform-tools, rather than export the path to that directory. Is there any particular reason? EDIT: BTW, you've hit the front page on XDA. :D

I'd be careful - once you save the file back into the ROM, it will no longer be signed, and therefore will not flash.
