Indeed, camera was one of the major reasons that I'm sticking with a stock based rom so far. Also, Cloudy 2.5's battery life isn't too bad and G3 tweakbox makes my phone more like AOSP. I've frozen almost all LG apps. Probably this page would help...

xposed 69 is out and the dev said the 69 version solved the encryption problem of some LG apps like smart cover and weather. In other words, xposed will work with smart cover and lg weather. Don't have a smart cover but this could be a news to tho...
