Another security update is being pushed out by Google, will this be available in the toolkit, or do I have to go load the image myself and manually install it.

No problems here with the PH1, phone is smooth as butter and fast, with great build and quality materials, small form factor with a 5.7" screen, great battery life and reception, nice speaker that is loud, nice dongle with build in DAC, play music...

Just use the Pure Nexus ROM as is, and you should be fine, the more crap you throw in the soup the more of a chance you have of making a mess of it.
