Settings>battery and power saving>scroll down to "wifi" and move the switch to the right (turn on ignore savings settings) This will tell Android to ignore power saving on wifi and let it operate normally.

Being a shift worker, it would really be nice to have a way to set recurring reminders, say on a "x" number of days cycle, or "y" number of weeks cycle.
