The reason the battery pull is necessary is because you have fast boot on. You won't need to do it if you go to Settings --> Power and unchecked fast boot

Add a point to the Sensation for the notification LED. Just got one and it reminded me.
Sensation display > iPhone 4. Essentially the same resolution but with a widescreen aspect ratio which is better for movies. Plus the iPhone screen is so small. And the contoured glass is beautiful.
