So after a few months of use durability seems questionable the coating seems to wear off after about 2 weeks of use so overall it's not that effective.

If you're having wifi issues still you should try turning on Legacy DHCP under the developer options. It's generally accepted that that's what's causing it.
Just switched over to the new 7.1.2 again the bootloop is gone.
I'm running it with AnyKernel I'll let everyone know after a few days if the memory leak is resolved.
I've started noticing the memory leak issue others have been talking about. It seems to occur overnight requiring a reboot in the morning.
Haven't found the offending process yet. Just thought I'd report it.
