Well, Shadowgun THD is in theory optimized and lags anyway. It`s just frustrating to have a quad-core high end phone that lags on so many games.

Yes you can relock bootloader by flashing full firmware but in this case I believe that you have flashed Tethered TWRP.

I find CPU-Z and AIDA 64 (find them on PlayStore) to be very helpfull for these kind of situations.
You can check and monitor sensors and hardware parts in your device.
