try this: start Sugar > upgrade > copy the whole folder of the original (27 files) > close Sugar > replace the copied files as described> restart Sugar > copy the folder with new files back > upgrade
I've found that closing Sugar in particular ...
Anytime I got stuck, from TWRP I used adb reboot edl then I used Sugar to reflash everything all over again.
Can sugar be used to flash a GSI?
