Without logs, there's no way to know for sure why your phone rebooted by itself (to recovery, no less). Keep an eye on it, if and when it happens again, what you were doing on your phone that day, and how long it had been since you last restarted...
How do you do That? Use the "fastboot boot twrp-x.x.x-x-whyred.img" command line at the adb prompt to temporarily load TWRP. Then just install TWRP to your Recovery partition on your device. Be sure to also install Lazyflasher immediately after...
This will be one of the first apps I install when I get my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 rooted in about 8 more days (damn you Xiaomi and your 2 week waiting period!). Seems really useful.
Is there any app or recovery procedure that can back up your entire device then restore it exactly as it was in the last backup you made? Acronis for Windows had the ability to do complete system backups then when you restored it would delete you...
