Reloaded-CAF. This Rom For Pocophone F1 Just Edited For Mi8 Dipper.
All Credits Goes To @riteshsaxena He Maked This Great Rom For Poco I Just Sharing For MI8.

Fixed. You can use which kernel you want. But if you wanna working EIS on custom roms use Sphinx 1.9.

So is it possible to run any Poco rom on Mi 8 with a custom Mi 8 kernel?

I asked the same question a while back but got no answer, it appears you can indeed since they are the exact same platform, only small kernel differences, hence why you need to flash a mi8 specific kernel.

No not only Kernel. You should be edit update.script also.
