So finally after lots of whats and nots I was finally able to install this.
Later flashed twrp again (it rewrites with its own recovery)
Then magisk, then gapps (aroma)

But I get the error that google play services has stopped working.
Any help with that would be really appreciated.

I had problems with Google Play Services myself. Did these steps again and it worked fine. There had been trouble installing the gapps package.

I use open gapps pico successfully

Note: The ROM gets installed into the OTHER slot than the one currently selected. This means after the flashing you have to select the other slot. Here is a fail proof method:

- reboot to recovery
- wipe system and dalvik
- reboot menu, select other slot (press home thereafter)
- reboot menu, reboot to recovery
- wipe system and dalvik (just to be sure)
- install the ROM (after that press Home, don't reboot)
- reboot menu - select other slot (DO NOT REBOOT, IGNORE ANY ERRORS that may occur)
- install twrp-installer
- reboot menu - reboot to recovery
---
- flash gapps
- flash Magisk
- flash kernel (if u want another one)
- reboot to system.

Very good rom thanks, it's my daily driver now [emoji106]

By the way, can selinux be changed to enforcing? Or will I end up in a bootloop?
Thanks

After dirty flashing to the latest nightly from the 24/3 build, my google play services are crashing, as are most of my google apps. I am running gapps nano, and my sequence went like this:

-Flash ROM
-Flash TWRP
-Wipe cache/dav
-Reboot to recovery
-Flash gapps
-Flash Magisk

What did I do wrong?

How do I fix it?

I clean flashed, and now Magisk won't appear in my apps list. Can someone help please?

Clean Flash eveything again.

Try to use gapps that are older than the rom

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8 (oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
