Yes it works fine as normal TWRP without Treble stuff.

Well I flashed this recovery(as per instructions in OP) on aosip 8.1 rom after asking to cosmic dan bro but after flashing recovery installer when i clicked on reboot system it went back to recovery again. I tried power off option but when press on/off button it again went to recovery then i wiped dalvik cache and when clicked reboot system it shows there is no OS installed are you sure to reboot. Tried many times but it went back to recovery everytime then I installed latest aosp extented 8.1 rom(luckily I had zip file on my phone) reboot recovery then flashed magisk & nano gapps after that my phone alived again.

If your rom is in A partition and you activated dual boot, and it's booting on twrp only. Try to check in twrp reboot menu and check if you are in B partition, then switch to A and reboot again.. that's how i solved my problem, but you got yours solved then its all good.

Dunno what you did, sounds like you changed to an empty slot at some stage of wiped system. But yes recovery loop generally means you need Magisk.

Hi @CosmicDan, I wanted to know if is possible to use this Recovery without problems, just for standard tasks like backups, installing zips, etc. even if I wont convert my device into Treble.

Since Official TWRP last updated was like 3 months ago, I would like to know if this improves or adds features, apart from all things that were already mentioned for Treble process only, that could improve TWRP functionality.

Thanks in advance.

It works fine as a normal TWRP.

As for features, it's all listed on the OP.
