1. Data format
2. Installation of L.O. 17.1
3. Reboot to recovery
4. Install gapps
5. Reboot to system
But there is no play store and I can't move on. Have I made a mistake in the steps? Do you have any idea? Thanks!

Don't format data, just factory reset.

Before installing anything additional you shall boot the ROM once after installation.

Did you installed Bitgapps and there is no play store?

After installing Bitgapps, there wasn't play store.

First off, thanks for your hard work on this ROM! Working almost perfectly for me, except the rare freezing of the SystemUI which you are already aware of.
Was just wondering if anyone else had problems with getting the battery to display as a percentage, and if not how can I get it to work...

Yes! Works as well as on MIUI and, if you turn the AOD (which you have to do anyway to avoid the lockscreen freezing, at the moment) it'll work with the screen off, too.
Also, DT2W is supported!

The base ROM isn't important, since it's not a GSI. What is crucial is the firmware, which is stated in the OP and can be found with a quick Google search

Just look up on Google the one stated in the OP and flash it! It's a couple dozens of MB anyway and the safest way to get it right
