- second generation "moto e 2. gen" of 2015 --- Surnia (earlier known as "Styx")
-- then among 2. gen :
- GSM, CDMA, LTE (having different processor types as well)

Moto E XT1527, XT1511 - for USA
Moto E XT1505, XT1524 - Global models
two other 2. gen -- Moto E variants:
Moto E - US GSM (XT1511):
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 1700 (AWS), 1900 MHz)
Moto E - Global GSM (XT1505):
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz)
I want a cheap Android with good open source support. Here the XT1527 and SONY Xperia E3 seem best, both cost ~120 €. But the E3 seems better officialy supported by SONY.
