Sorry for the late reply, im not on here as often as I used to be, if your kernel/ROM has init.d support, all you have to do is flash it and you're good to go.

Hi, sadly the fix doesn't work for me.
I'm currently running LineageOS 14.1 and i tried with KaminariKernel R7 to activate DT2W,
flashed the fix and rebooted but still have swipe bug on lock screen, even if I leave the screen off for 5 secs. :(

Does that kernel come with init.d?

I returned to stock kernel and i can't say if it had init.d support, can you suggest me a kernel that works with your fix?

Unfortunately I cannot. I'm stuck on an old kernel that has been abandoned for a while now, I cant even find a link for it anymore. When I try upgrading to something more current my phone boot loops, but my phone is also my programming environment and I can't afford to start over and spend months making everything work again. However, if you can give me a link or a google drive link to the kernel you want I can open up the kernel image, see if it has init.d, add it if it doesn't, and reupload it for you. It'd take me all of 5 minutes to do that.

Thanks for your availability, however I have given up on using the dt2w feature because I noticed that using the feature caused a high battery consumption (due to the lack of dedicated processor).

The included file is a binary that runs a daemon that fixes the lockscreen freeze that happens with dt2w/sw2w kernels. It requires busybox to be installed on your device. If your screen is still unresponsive the first time you attempt to wake your device; shut your screen off, wait a couple seconds, and try again and it will usually work.

The executable will do nothing on its own, so you must either have it start on boot with an init.d script or manually in terminal. It has to be ran as root.

To install the zip boot into recovery and install it using your recovery's standard install method, like installing a kernel or ROM.

To install the binary simply put the file in /system/bin and give it executable permissions

Will this enable DT2W in cm12

If you will read the title, you would realize that this mod is a fix for a very common problem faced by dt2w users. If you want dt2w, flash a custom kernel like optimus.

There is now a link to an installer zip for installation from recovery mode that comes with an init.d script included, for anyone using this method, please let me know if you encounter any issues with it. You may need to enable "trust system user" in your su application for it to work. The recovery installer was made with the ZipMe application.
