Yea but I didn't go pass home screen, I reflashed Gapps and everything seems to be working

Mine only does that when I go to the settings on most apps. I figured it was because I am using a Substratum Legacy theme. The theme is supposed to work on 7.1 but if your phone did it too, it must be the source code cuz I'm back on beanstalk.
Almost Every ROM Based On CM Is Pre Rooted. You Have To Just Enable Developer Settings (By Tapping Build Number 7 Times) And Then Enable Root Access From The Developer Settings.

Which Gapps are you using ? Can you try with another one like BankS ?
Which variant ? You should have the N firmware as mentionned in first post.

It's now official, so I suggest you to check Gerrit AOKP : http://gerrit.aokp.co/#/q/status:merged
It has always working fine on my variant (XT1642) with N firmware base.
This ROM is daily usable, that's why I pushed it to AOKP official & beta.
I will update the bug list depending on your feedback guys, with proper logs and context to reproduce.

Here is AOKP 7.1 for the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus
Requirements:
- Unlocked Bootloader
- TWRP 3.0.3+ build: Recovery TWRP 3.0.3-n1 for Moto G4
- Lenovo Moto N Firmware (modem & firmware updates required)
How to install:
From stock
- Copy the ROM zip on your phone
- Reboot in TWRP Recovery mode
- Backup your phone!
- Format/Wipe system, cache, dalvik, data
- Flash/Install ROM
- Flash Install Gapps (OpenGapps ARM 7.1 Mini or smaller is recommanded)
- Reboot
Upgrade from previous build
- Copy the ROM zip on your phone
- Reboot in TWRP Recovery mode
- Format/Wipe only cache, dalvik
- Flash/Install ROM new build version
- Reboot
