thanks in advance

No. You can only cross-flash stock firmware over Quarks with the same FCC ID.
  • XT1250/XT1254 both have the same FCC ID, so you can crossflash that firmware and radios and everything works.
  • XT1225 Moto Maxx and XT1225 Moto Turbo have the same FCC ID, so you can crossflash that firmware and radios. (Over two years ago I flashed India 5.02. over my Puerto Rico and Mexico XT1225 phones to upgrade from 4.4.4 Kitkat as India got that first.)

But you cannot crossflash XT1254/XT1250 firmware over XT1225 and vice versa. At least not pure stock. @iiWoodstocK created a custom ROM using Brazil Motorola Marshmallow 6.0.1 firmware that could be flashed to XT1254/XT1250 -- but he replaced stock Motorola kernel with @bhb27 custom kernel and he added CDMA lines to the build prop. But even then you couldn't flash XT1225 radio to XT1254/XT1250, instead you had to use the radio meant for your FCC ID.

I'm curious WHY do you want to do this? All the custom ROMs will work on all Quarks. The XT1225 has more LTE bands and more HSPA bands than the XT1254/XT1250, so why do you want the "inferior" XT1254 radio on your XT1225?

The only reason you would want XT1254 radio is if you need CDMA bands for some reason or use Verizon (U.S. carrier) and need LTE band 13. Since I assume you live outside the U.S., not many people outside U.S. use CDMA and you wouldn't be using Verizon... Is there something in particular you think the XT1254 has you want on the XT1225. If you are by any chance referring to Verizon VoLTE, that only works on Verizon on the XT1254, not on any other carrier.

Here's information about the Quark radios:

The XT1225 and XT1254/XT1250 all share LTE bands 2, 3, 4, 7.

The XT1225 additionally has LTE band 5 and 17.

The XT1254/XT1250 instead has LTE band 13 (Verizon LTE band), plus CDMA bands. While it does have some HSPA bands, there's not as many as in the XT1225.

FCC ID IHDT56PK1

Thanks,

You will have to unlock the bootloader first. Then you can flash any XT1225 firmware you wish, yes even 4.4.4 Kitkat from Brazil XT1225. However you MUST exclude gpt.bin from your flash commands.

Due requests, I have attached TWRP-flashable files with boot logos already inside. No need for a PC!

NOTE: Flash one of these boot logos as a separate TWRP session if you are also flashing the boot animation. For some reason both cannot be flashed in the same session.

___________

Motorola insists upon telling you that you unlocked your bootloader every time you reboot your phone.

Replace that annoying warning with something cool looking... I have attached FIVE choices with Motorola logo!

* Black and White

* Dark Google ATAP

Graphic for this above was used from this Moto X Pure thread by @XDleader555 -- but I adapted it for our Quark so it wouldn't be upside down. All the other bundled graphics in the bin file like "recovery", "bootloader" are taken from the Black & Teal logo below. However the "splash screen" is this artistic black & white boot logo.

*White and Teal

* Black and Red

(The last three with color are custom graphics made by @fenix3nk0r3 from this thread. I am using the black and teal on my daily phone.)

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS

The only reason you would get that message is if you are not typing in the alpha-numeric characters correctly. I already mentioned that possibility in post #1 and how to avoid it.

Helps if you Google how to copy and paste from Windows command window. There's a LOT of alphanumeric characters you have to type. First time I tried to unlock my bootloader I mis-typed something. Copying and pasting from the Windows command window fixed that problem!

I also got my device was ineligible the first time, but when I copied and pasted from the Windows command window, it then worked. Since I KNEW my device was eligible, I knew I had mis-typed something.

My suggestion to copy and paste from Windows command window is exactly what you are talking about and has always been in my thread. There's nothing to update.

ALL Moto XT1225 and XT1250 are eligible for bootloader unlock so there's no reason to check CID. (Unless someone changed the CID, in which case they've messed the phone up.) Still, thank you for the information. May help other people who don't have Moto XT1225 or Moto XT1250. Wonder if that might work for Verizon Droid Turbo owners?

The other possibility for being declared ineligible -- which I'm not clear on -- is if your phone's bootloader has already been unlocked in the past and re-locked. I don't know about that because I've never relocked a bootloader. Why would I give up that power?

i did copy paste from cmd to notepad and manually deleted unwanted string, copy paste straight to data scrub but keep failing every time ( i m sure doing things correctly ) after that moto rep from online forum helped me,
after providing him my oem unlock data via chat, after couple of minutes he told to put oem unlock data to data scrub.. voila i got unlock key
