The Android Open Source Project

Code:
/*
 * Your warranty is now void.
 *
 * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
 * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
 * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
 * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
 * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
 */

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also 3 non-AOSP features for a better user experience (Advanced Reboot, "Clear All" button in Recents and an option to delete screenshots from the notification area) and I'm NOT going to add something other.

Download
Android File Host
Gapps

You mean stock functions... Aosp just have ambient display...

Enviado desde mi Moto X mediante Tapatalk

Guess it depends how you define "stock"
Seems to me that more and more phones support voice control functions, the Moto X just has a separate chip for it that apparently none of these ROMs use (which is something of a battery drain).

AOSP will never see the same level of voice control as Motorola's stock firmware. The drivers for the X8 chipset are proprietary and so is anything related to Motorola's Active Display.

Managed to connect wifi. Using this ROM for the third day and could enjoy its smoothness. Installed Xposed and gravity module to customise the way I like. One big difference I have seen is that Google camera never freezes and works flawlessly. With other 5.1.x custom ROMs Google camera use to freeze after every few snaps. Thanks for your efforts OP.

Have you been able to get amplify working? I've installed xposed but it doesn't appear to recognize xposed on this ROM.
Thanks

encryption doesn't work

Had CM12.1 installed. Flashed the 4.4.4 developer edition rom from Motorola then installed the latest official TWRP and installed this.

Same as with CM12.1 encryption doesn't finish after several hours (/data was wiped before install). Rebooting during encryption doesn't lose any data like should happen if it were actually encrypting. I don't know how to go about collecting logs or other information to diagnose this.
