Well, who truly knows anything.... all we have is our perception, which is largely imaginative interpretation (or maybe I just think it is)... oh sorry, wrong meeting...??????

I'm actually still using my N4, #mako4everplz??? on UA8.1 it runs very well indeed, so no need to change for the foreseeable future.?So, it's been a few years since the Nexus 4 days (aahh memories), and I was wondering what you guys have moved onto...
Google Pixel? A Note? 1+? Razer Phone? Essential? Some other Chinese company?

Umm still have n4 n5 and now op5 but wouldn't recommend op5 to anyone oneplus as a company are a disgrace to ?? everywhere
Seriously, the Essential is lit, especially on the Oreo beta. Camera is quite ok (but still not great, which is expected) with the GCam mod, and software issues are basically non-existent for me now. I didn't have the seemingly quite common touch issues very often anyway though. This is actually quite interesting. One of my piece of sh*t of a "friend" smashed my Nexus 4 to pieces a while back (long story).
A moment of silence please...
I currently am holding onto a Nextbit Robin as you guys probably know, but I also have a weak/aging Nexus 5 in the drawer.
Funnily enough the N5 has an Android 8/8.1 port (stableish?) already while my NB Robin still has 7.1.2 at best from the ROM community.
I've been thinking about getting a 1+ 3T/5/5T but not really anymore. I've also heavily considered the Essential PH1 (surprisingly great apparently, minus the camera and software issues, but to be expected from a new company), and the Razer Phone, which sounds amazing even without the gaming aspect...
I'm just sick of the plastic rectangular slab design that NB/Razer still pursue and want something more premium/modern...

Battery is outstanding, plus it supports Project Treble.
Go for it. You won't regret.
?
Well, I often get above 6-7 hours of SOT, in a single day with mixed usage and WiFi + LTE. There are times where I get only 4-5, but it's still such a step up from the maximum 4 hrs of my previous 6P.Coming from a Nextbit Robin, a Nexus 5 and 4, I think I can easily handle mediocre camera. I need some decent battery life though now. Anything 6 hrs SOT with medium usage or 4+hrs with medium-heavy usage.

It's mostly that it's a different device that allows me to obtain such results I posted that comment in reference to the Essential PH-1.What kernel and settings do you use to obtain such great results? Thanks.

My 5Ghz WiFi works fine.
For those people having issues with 5Ghz trying changing your channel to one of those listed in this post:
I'm currently using 44 which seems to be the sweet spot if that's available where you live.
Nexus 4 aren't able to see DFS channels due to the country regulations on transmissions. But some routers were using those channels when you set it to auto, so try changing your 5Ghz router channel to non-DFS channel like 40 or 48.
Non-DFS channels: 36, 40, 44, 48, 149, 153, 157, 161, 165
