REPORTING BUGS!
As soon as the problem occurs, take a logcat!
What is a LogCat?
A "LogCat" is for debugging applications / Android system. When applications / Android crash the output the "explanation" for the crash, the Exception Stacktrace, to a Log. This log can be saved and help developers to fix the crash.
What is it supposed to do?
It will help to solve your questions, if your asked for a LogCat it is always useful.
How can I get a LogCat?
Prerequisites:
Code:
Linux, Windows or Mac
USB cable for your device
Android Device
Instructions:
Code:
Install your device driver for using adb. Everything you need will you find here
Download adb executable for your OS (Download: Windows | Linux | Mac). Paste it somewhere.
Connect your android device.
Verify if "Settings > Developer options > USB debugging" is checked, if not, simply check it.
Open a command prompt (windows) or terminal (linux / mac). How to do it: On Windows: windows + r > enter "cmd" (without quotes) > click enter | On Linux: You don't know how to open a terminal? LOL | On Mac: Type Terminal into Spotlight and open it
CD to the directory where the adb executable is located. On Windows: Go to the directory where you downloaded the adb executable, Shift+Right Click and select "Open Console" (or similar) | On Linux / Mac: Rightclick in the directory and select "Open Terminal here" (or simply CD into the directory)
Type in your cmd/terminal: adb devices to verify your device is properly connected.
If your device is properly selected, type in adb logcat to show the mighty and magic logcat aka stacktrace.
Reproduce your error (or whatever) on your device.
Right after, paste the whole cmd / terminal window into a paste-service like [url]http://pastebin.com/[/url] and send it to us.

So, I finally tried this ROM. I installed it with the latest BeansGapps I could find and SuperSU 2.82.

I'm impressed. It has nice animations, a lot of customization options, and is super fluid with the default settings. The few included apps seem to function well and the included launcher looks like Google's Pixel Launcher, but has many setting options. The default kernel has many CPU and governor tunable settings.

I haven't used it long enough yet to tell what the battery life is like, though I can say it didn't seem to lose much overnight.

If you're thinking about trying a new Nougat ROM, from what I've experienced so far, I suggest giving this one a try.

Update:
So the battery life when the phone is asleep is tolerable, but not great. The battery life when the phone is awake is maybe normal for the N4, but in my opinion it drains way too quickly. I've changed governors and their respective settings, turned off unnecessary things like gps, wifi location scanning, bluetooth, nfc, wifi, auto-sync, Google assistant, etc and I can only make it a marginally better.

There is no LTE support that I can find.

On the plus side:
It has navbar cursor arrows when typing, which I think should be a default feature of Android and don't understand why it isn't.

It has the a really nice looking lock screen clock.

It has the fastest usb adb file transfer rates that I've seen on the N4.

Another update:
I thought I'd give this ROM another try. I found that:
* If you block enough wakelocks (which has to be done through a 3rd party app) you can get tolerable battery life. It's still not good, but it's better than bad.
* This ROM doesn't seem to suffer from the WiFi disconnection bug, or is it the kernel (I was using Sinai). Either way it was pleasant to not have to deal with the issue.

If you're not overly concerned about battery life and want a nougat ROM, I still suggest trying this one.

Why does it say GT-I9505 in the screenshots?
