Welcome to Eos 4.0! The Eos project originated with the AOSP release of ICS, and was originally founded by Solarnz and co founded by Bigrushdog. Since then, Eos has evolved into a multinational collaborative effort backed by top Android developers. Our objective is to provide a world class AOSP build with unique features and enhancements. Eos is an ongoing development project in which builds are released on a regular basis. Every release should be considered stable and highly functional.

We give love and much respect to Cyanogenmod. The AOSP scene would not exist as it does today without them. We implement some of their branches to support legacy devices and features that users have demanded. The resources we use include, but are not limited to:

Features:
Code:
Phone: for T9 dialer support
MMS
T-Mobile Theme Engine

Branches:
Code:
libhardware, libhardware_legacy, system/core, system/netd, /system/vold, frameworks/native, frameworks/av, isolated frameworks/base cherry-picks,
and various qualcomm support related branches. We also use some qualcomm related branches from CodeAurora Forum.

Yes, this ROM is similar to stock with a small but nice amount of tweaks (I tested before they made a thread for it).

Yes, that's what's supposed to happen during a call.

Can you confirm if this ROM has:

a) Volume button wake option?
b) Battery Percentage option?
c) DPI changer on-the-fly option?

Hey guys. Since N4 is such an important device in today's AOSP scene, I wanted to take a few minutes to lay out what the Eos project is all about, and what can be expected. This project is fundamentally driven by a spirit of originality. We are guys that love programming. We love using our devices everyday and thinking, "What could we do better? Why did Android do it like this?" I believe that is the core driver of feature creativity. At the same time, I don't believe in reinventing the wheel either. For example, Cyanogenmod has the best Mms and Phone implementation, period. Therefore, we implement that resource, and give proper love, credit, and respect. We are friends to all. Personally, I really love the scene right now! So many guys are getting into AOSP, compiling their favorite projects on their own, contributing, sharing.

We are also responsive to the needs of our users. If it becomes evident there is demand for a popular feature, such as the TMobile Theme Engine, we make it happen. However, one thing I am opposed to is implementing features that are unique to another project. Features like Quiet Hours from Cyanogenmod or Pie from Paranoid are awesome features. Yet, they are uniquely CM and PA. They wrote those features, and they are features that give those projects their identify. So by definition, those features would take away from our unique identity. I don't apply this standard to every feature any other team writes, of course. But I think you guys get the picture. I don't bog down our build with features I deem stupid. If you haven't used a feature in a week, it don't belong in your build. Being the project leader, I get to make that assessment. But with proper logic and reasoning, my mind can be changed as well :highfive:

Besides Maguro, this really our first big GSM device. So we'll have some catching up to do with GSM features, like 2g/3g toggle. Why anybody would force 2g is beyond me, but I digress lol. This is an ongoing project and we welcome user feedback and participation. We are drama-free. Their will be no trolling here. And i forgot to add the XDA support link in ECC but you guys know where it is :p

For more info, check my sig. We also include the change log in ECC (Eos Control Center)

Thanks for giving Eos a run! For you guys that know what's up from the tablet side of things, you know we like kicking ass and taking names!

Linaro tool chain, Bionic, Krait, Ninja, Captain America & all other buzz words included..? ;)

Buzzwords are for guys that learn how to cherry pick and think that's actually developing. We write our features from scratch. We'll save the buzzwords for the 50 cm and aokp kangs out there.
