Do you see the possibility of making changes to your ROM 15.1 and 14.1 for Nexus 4
about which razorloves wrote in the thread LineageOS 13.1 for Nexus 5 in post #3195?
You could use LOS 15.1 and 14.1 on an enlarged system partition.

I don’t know if it’s rude to ask you this, but why don't you contact Lineage team and make your builds official? If that everyone can find it on the download portal, instead of subscribing this thread and waiting for updates.

Do you have any instruction how to install 17.1 on original ROM? I know that i need to install twrp but what next? I can just install LinageOS 17.1 or i need to do something before?

You can't install it "on original ROM". You are replacing the original " stock ROM with this custom ROM.
Here the general steps:

1. Install TWRP
2. Make a backup (in TWRP)
(Keep in mind that everything in your storagefolder is excluded. eg your pictures. So backup them )
3. Wipe everything (in TWRP)
4. Connect to PC and copy ROM and gapps to storage
5. Install ROM
6. Install Gapps (if needed)
7. Install Magisks (if needed)

BWT: I just saw that the same information was on the first page...

While coming from LOS14.1
I would go for the following stack:
TWRP 3.4
LOS 15.1
OpenGapps arm 8.1
by flashing TWRP first with adb and in the next step doing a complete wipe followed by flashing LOS15.1 and OGA, right?

In the next step I'd like to move on to 16 or 17 - is that recommended for the Nexus 4 or should I better forget about it?

It's on page 1 - Right, but...
I went for LOS 15.1 (Android 8.1)
It wasn't possible to install Gapps8.1ARM for me yet. (of course I need to put a gapps-config.txt with excludes for pico or nano package first)
How am I supposed to flash LOS 17.1 without any modifications?
I thought there is no room for 16.1 / or 17.1 on the standard partition size, wasn't it?
I guess without repartioning there is no way to go straight to Android 9 or 10.

    I can't install gapps, help!

Only pico gapps can be installed, if you still unable to install pico gapps
create a .txt file named gapps-config.txt with the following contents:
    Code:
    Exclude

    GoogleTTS

and copy that file to the root of your /sdcard, after that install pico gapps.

Recommended gapps-config for opengapps nano (with faceunlock support):
    Code:
    Exclude

    GoogleTTS
    Search
    Speech

    Upgrading from 14.1? Read this!

Android 8.1 is noticably bigger than previous version and directly flashing 15.1 over 14.1
is only possible when you got no gapps or pico gapps installed. If you used for example nano gapps
the correct steps of upgrading would be:

    - Boot into Recovery
    - Wipe system and cache
    - Flash LineageOS zip
    - Flash Gapps Pico
    - Reboot
    7
Just wait for today's build. I was able to free some megabytes and gapps pico installs fine again and even some megabytes are free for future updates.

Does anyone have a problem adding new wifi hotspots that are hidden ? I have a hidden and a regular hotspot from the same router with the encryption same settings (AES, WPA2, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), but this firmware isn't able to find the hidden one. I previously had NitrogenOS 7.1 installed and there was no problem.

If anyone still cares, this should be fixed in upcoming nightly.

Hi, first of all, I want to thank the many developers that make such a great ROM possible for mako! I'm having difficulties when using the CallRecording feature that was (re-)introduced in the dialer since a few releases. Tried the 30.10. and the 6.11. release. Enabled call recording via the Xposed XCallRecordingSettings Module.
CallRecodring is then available (and legal in Austria) in the dialer. Also the record audio file is written. But the file only contains my own voice and not the voice of my call partner. Has anyone made the same discovery?

Thats why call recording is disabled for this device, because it doesn't work properly.

Because some devices are no longer maintained by LOS Team (and Milaq for Mako), I built several unofficial LineageOS-based ROM (LOS 14.1 and 15.1).
I followed the instructions on the official link (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/) without adding anything more.
For the buildings, I added (if necessary):
    <project name="TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_XXXX" path="vendor/XXXX" remote="github" revision="cm-14.1 or los-15.1" />
at the bottom of ~/android/lineage/.repo/local_manifests/roomservice.xml .... before </manifest>

Note my unofficial builds are not signed (but SELinux status is enforcing) and require a clean flash if you come from the official one.

You can use Migrate app (Migrate - custom ROM migration tool - Google play) for the migration:
