I don't see why it should as long as it has the right voltages of ddr3lp and the right package and connection.

Yeah just like a windows os wether it is a 2gb or 4gb ram the os would run.

SD808 is a 64-bit cpu, so no problem adressing >=4GB of ram

Still i looked around in google for a 4GB LPDDR3 ram on that chipset and it really hard to find on ebay, so i would really appreciate model number for it.

Can you make some video review so we can see how it works?

We could use Nexus 6's SK Hynix H9CKNNNDBTMTAR which is 3GB Ram module but i am still searching for the 4GB one.

That's wicked cool! How long did it the process take (shipping, repair, shipping back, etc)?

To those talking about upgrading the storage: mind sending a link to a thread for more storage?

I'm imagining a super 5x that has 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, an upgraded battery, and a cooling mod (to limit the throttling). That phone would be fantastic.

That definitely sounds ideal.

Ram and battery are the 2 problems i have on the 5x otherwise i love the phone. It feels much nicer in the hand then my sony z3 (glass backed)
