Alright r46 is out. Rebuilt everything from scratch like I should've done in the first place. Everything should be fine now. Sorry for the delay, been busy with lots of things and rebuilding the entire tree on top of the vanilla sources is just tiresome and a pretty long process.
You can auto-flash it with my app http://get.franciscofranco.xyz or manually through the links in the OP.

Is there a way that I can make my adaptive brightness great again ??

I don't really touch any of that.

SELinux changes in Oreo are causing that and other issues in the app. The next version of the app should fix it.

In the meantime, this from a root prompt (or even better in a su.d/post-fs-data.d script) should get most things working again:

Code:
$(which supolicy sepolicy-inject) --live \
    "allow untrusted_app_25 proc file { read open getattr }" \
    "allow untrusted_app_25 sysfs dir { read open }" \
    "allow untrusted_app_25 sysfs file { read open getattr }";

Flashed in a stock ROM by booting twrp. Working great so far.

Would much prefer if there was a boot image for stock users.

The point of AK2 is it works for all ROMs, including stock.
