Oh ok. Can you use setcpu and NSTools together?

Yes you can but something for you to remember. Setcpu will override the CPU settings in nstools. As it should. Otherwise your screen off profiles wouldn't stick. I setup my setcpu first and then setup the nstools. The ONLY things I use nstools for is setting bln, scheduler and deep idle.

Min/max CPU, governor and screen off profile is setup with setcpu.

If you haven't tried the wheatley governor you are missing out on the best screen off governor for our phones. While it isn't the best gov for everyday use it is by far the best screen off governor. With it setup as screen off profile, my phone only loses about 1% battery every 4 hours.

What rom and settings are you running in that video? I can't get my ns to go that fast.

I running Bugless Beast(4-06-12), Matr1x kernel 19.5(of course), Nova Launcher, lulzactive governor and 1.3ghz OC - that's it as far as performance tweaks.

This kernel brings great battery life and speed, Mathkid is very talented.

I usually use Noop. However some have had really good results with the stock deadline.

Snoop and Deadline both work great. I usually use deadline because I forget to scroll down and try others when I am flying through my setup. So I decided to run YouTube straight after my earlier screenshot and here's the screen on time before I stuck it on the charger....damn..stuck on charger with 10% battery left. So that's what's left here. Loving 19.5!

John uses my settings with a few modifications to the frozen apps as our usage differs a little.

Here they are in a nutshell....

I get anything from 22- 24 hours off a charge. With a total of 4-5.5 hours with my screen on using wifi or 3g to surf, email, text and check out the forums. I usually make a couple of calls and play around an hour or so of mp3's.

Scheduler: noop or on demand
governor: lazy.
Max cpu: 800
Min cpu: 200
Deep Idle on

My screen off profile using Set CPU is

Min CPU 200
Max CPU 400
Wheatley Governor

The apps I freeze all put a bit of a drain on your battery. You don't need to freeze them all or any of them. Freeze what you can do without.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. When I'm at work I normally do (turn off) as we can get sent home for 3 days (no pay) if caught using our phones during work hours. Otherwise it's usually on. When at home, wifi is always on.

I use 200 min just because say when you are on a thread on XDA app, the phone settles to the minimum frequency and runs there. I just like the way it feels better plus if kernel includes undervolt, less chance of phone not waking from screen off

    Hey guys,

This is the JB version of the Matr1x kernel and it works on 4.1.1/4.1.2 and 4.2.

    Features:

    Code:

    - Based on Linux kernel version 3.0.31

    - Voodoo sound and color (Thanks to supercurio)

    - BLN (Thanks to neldar)

    - BFS (Thanks to Con Kolivas)

    - Fast Charge by Chad Froebel (Be sure to buy his widget here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.incredicontrol.fastchargewidget)

    - Bigmem (Thanks to _thalamus for the working implementation)

    - ROW I/O Scheduler

    - 4.2 Bluetooth fix (thanks to DerTeufel)

    - Vibration control (thanks to DerTeufel)

    - SmartassV2 governor

    - USB OTG (thanks to sztupy)

    - CIFS

    - MTP (thanks to abev66 for the AnyKernel method)

    **Ezekeel's mods** (Thanks to Ezekeel)

    - BLD

    - Touch Wake

    - Wheatley Governor

    - Custom Voltage Interface

    Changelog:

v22.5 Updated kernel base for JB, added all my favorite *useful* features and removed a ton of pointless stuff, changed LCD voltage to 2.3V, and used the Bcmdhd PM_FAST in standby.

v23.0 Reverted kernel base back to 3.0.31 for speed and stability, reverted the LCD UV, and added the interactive governor (with input boost).

v23.5 Added 1.2Ghz OC, Touch Wake, Voodoo Color, and CM versions.

v24.0 Added 1.32Ghz OC, 100% battery charge fix (cosmetic), and wheatley governor.

v24.5 Added DerTeufel's 4.2 bluetooth fix, the ROW I/O Scheduler, and Ezekeel's Custom Voltage Interface.

v25.0 Added DerTeufel's vibration control interface for his Helly Bean ROM, fixed the 100Mhz not sticking issue, added the SmartassV2 governor, added USB OTG, added CIFS, and added MTP (this might not work on all the ROMs, so just let me know on which ones it does work).
