Wow, just used the auto update feature and I gotta say its quite nice... I do have to flash a few files manually... But it did all the hard updating work on its own!! Love the new "Sync" button... Funny I was just asking for that one lol... Make sure you have backups of your apps before doing the update because it will be easier to replace the missing files and apps that get replaced (like camera) with this type of updating... Sadly, I had just wiped all my backups to start off fresh... So now I have to reflash the camera and start my dictionary over from scratch since I just did a fresh install just before this... Oh well... I'm running stock kernel now as well... It has everything but my "Wheatley" governor and voltage controls but I'm running 1400mhz and so fat its all good...

BTW, if you guys haven't seen the new cm10.1 boot animation, don't flash a custom animation after flashing this ROM! I'm usually more a fan of stock animations and I typically would flash the jb animation... But this new CyanogenMod animation is pretty sweet... That's all for now...

What NEW boot animation are you talking about? I flashed 12/22 version just now and i still got the old CM10 boot logo
I use google voice...
But i dont think its fixed...
Its new to me because I've never used cm stock animations lol... Its a circle one...

i have tried every 4.2.1 rom and i must say cm10.1 is the smoothest with latest marmite. i have 20 hours without charging and it is still 53%.
Native tethering works with 3G only... No 4G tether... WiFi Tether app still doesn't work...
So for now only 3G tethering available here... Can anyone confirm this on Crespo4G?

Confirmed. 4G drops as soon as tether is enabled. Crespo4g 10.1-12-22-2012 nightly.

The ROM has Superuser built-in, you shouldn't need to flash SuperSU.
Very smooth... Just loving it.
Only issue that I have come across is that Google voice typing does not work. It crashes everytime I try using it
Anybody else having this issue?

The issue has been resolved after updating Google Voice from the play store

Very impressed with this CM nightlies, I'm still with 21/12 build and enjoying it a lot, but I intend to update to the 23th/12 during today. On the other hand I have one or two minor details where you guys might be able to help.
1 Does anyone know where is BLX variable set? I've been looking under /sys/class/misc/batterylifeextender/ but found nothing...
2 About the photosphere feature, is anyone flashing this successfully?

You need to install/flash the "camera42_patched_v2.zip"- Package via your recovery.
Just google for "camera42_patched_v2.zip" (I'm not allowed to post a link )
For me it works perfect on my NexusS cm10.1 (20120103) but you have to disable the "GPS position" otherwise the gallery-app will crash during the rendering.
Not to forget: after installing/flashing you will have two gallery apps. The new one has all you need including picasa sync. You can uninstall the old one by using a root file explorer and deleting "/system/app/gallery2.apk".
Note: If you want to activate performance & developer options "Tap the build number 7 times"

Code:# CM 10.1 is based on Android 4.2.1. Any and all proprietary applications that you have installed outside of CM should be updated to their 4.2.1 counterparts. Do not use the 4.1 versions of proprietary applications, else you will experience difficulties. # Do not use the CyanogenMod Updater to go from 10.0 to 10.1. While you will have a functional rom, due to the 1st bullet point, you will be left without your proprietary applications and their data. We highly suggest performing the initial install manually via recovery (flashing CM and your addons). Once you are on 10.1, you can use the CM Updater as per normal. # You do not need to wipe when updating to 10.1 if coming from an earlier CM version. However, as we mentioned in the weekend's PSA, users updating (instead of wiping) will experience a conflict in the application data for the Clock app. You are advised to clear this apps data on first boot of 10.1. # Another item to note is that the support for the 10.0 feature that allowed for an expanded number of targets on the pattern lockscreen is not in 10.1. If you use this lockscreen, disable it before updating from 10.0. # Finally, we always advise that you create a backup before any update. Do note, however, that due to Android 4.2 changes to support multi-user mode, your backups will automatically be transferred to /sdcard/0/[backup folder]. Remember this when attempting to restore 10.0.7I think of someone can't find developer options by now, with 4.2 being out for over 2 months, they should not even consider messing with options in there...
