You cannot reboot into recovery.

Do you know what the default density is?

"Screen Resolution Changer: Display Size and Density" changed the resolution to the correct native panel resolution (720x1280) simply by launching the app. Unfortunately it broke the soft buttons. (only in portrait, they resize correctly in landscape)

Regarding the issue with L2 and R2 not working in games such as Half-Life 2, the fix is to set them to flat values of 2048 instead of 4096. So, they should look like this:

Simplest solution: download a free app that let's you manually your desired device resolution to 720. The resolution WILL remain 720p after reboots.

I sideloaded this free app: Easy DPI Changer.

In the "Resolution Changer" section, type in 1280 in "width" and 720 in "height". Lemme know if you need help. Since the orientation is stuck at landscape in this build, you may have to put 720 in "width" and 1080 in "height" otherwise you' may run into a small reversible issue: black borders on both sides. I'm at medschool so I don't have my switch with me and don't remember which box I put which number in but don't worry, this method is 100% safe and reversible.

I went a little extreme before you replied. I edited the init files in the boot image to set 720p (I found two places where the devs set 1080p). I then recreated the boot image and reflashed that partition in twrp. Works great, boots 720p and stays there.

Quick Question:

If we used a Performance Profile for an hour or two while charging, would it still damage battery due to the negative overheating effects of over clocking?

Anyone have any "safe profile usage durations" recommendations, i.e, "you can safely use profile X for time period Y"?

I Tried holding down the power button > tapping Restart > and then tapping Recovery but device just powered down. Am I missing something? Thx.

We all have the same Switch and OS. If I can do something, others should be able to as well. Manually rebooting to hekate is annoying AF, esp when you just wanna flash a zip straight from android or make/restore a backup or even move a file from the 2GB FAT32 partition to the android OS partition using TWRP's file manager or vice versa. I just thought this would save time for many.

That said I'm happy to remove that tip from the list if others are having issues or are confused. On that note, the moderators or switchroot devs can feel free to delete my entire post if it's distracting from the main purpose of this thread. My apologies. I was just trying to help others new to the platform.
