The only new things I've seen so far is that always on screen is now enabled, so the time will always display when the screen is off and we can now "Swipe fingerprint for notifications".
Always on screen can be disabled, we'll see how much extra battery it will cost.

FYI, I sideloaded and it preserved all my apps & data, as expected.

Other observations:
- "Swipe up on home button." has been REMOVED. New navigation bar is nowhere to be found now.
- Annoyingly, in the Danish banking app MobilePay I can no longer use my fingerprint, even after disabling USB debugging and then also disabling all Developer Options altogether
- The Dutch banking app for ABN Amro still doesn't work
- Netflix doesn't work for me, just like before (error 501.-1006)
- Icons in the notification bar seem a little bit smaller
- The WiFi / 4G icon still have the annoying up/down arrows appearing when data is transferred, I wish I could turn that off

Everything else seems to work fine like it did before on the previous developer preview.

Edit: Aha! Multiple users can be set up now, very nice!

Don't know, it was quite smooth before.. I don't really see these things.

Battery consumption per app still missing.
Edit, my bad, battery consumption per app is indeed back.

The search box on home screen is still rectangle. Other places.. seem the same.

Yeah, that's better than Google Drive.

Looks like I'll not be updating this time around, either. I really liked the new gestures.
I'll be looking forward to the public release, then.

Did anyone try to Downgrade to Android 8.1 via Recovery?

I can't downgrade due to the following error description:
"E:Update package is older than the current build, expected a build newer than timestamp 1530702334 but package has timestamp 1529296497 and downgrade not allowed"

I'm guessing this is Google's new Anti-Rollback Protection Right?

What's the procedure to Downgrade via OTA?

Update: Got the solution:

Just installed, and damn that's smooth compared to oreo. Queston to someone, who clean flashed. Do you have that new navbat, or is it the same as on oreo ? Dirty flash here, and can't find option to enable new navbar.

Gesture navigation is not included, the question has been asked over on the community forums and we are awaiting a response.
