am now stucked on easy mode...
i did change premission and all
idk what i did wrong
can you please upload the apk you tried ?
(even reverting back to stock apk doesn't solve the problem it instead opens easy mode without the problem message ) and i did check the settings it thinks that am using standard mode (although it's showing easy mode ) and when i switch to easy mode the screen flickers

I think your default launcher was set to easy launcher in setting - default applications  check it out
This is the apk I used:
http://www.mediafire.com/ ?cydjt9ma11jpc3f
If the problem still persists I think it is dpi related

No problem mate ;) I'm glad you enjoy it
But how did you fix it?

I changed the name of the apk to some random **** , chose standard mode so when i click the home button it can't find the apk ,putting another error message
then i chose easy mode and set the apk name back to "touchwizhome" then i changed back to standard mode and some how it did the trick
i think i was just lucky
do you know how can i make the double-tap home button to open camera ? thank you
i know am bothring you

That's one weird way to fix it lol
I found a thread on how to do it but I haven't tested yet :p

This was taken from stock Note4 ANIE. Has been tested on other variants and is working well.
If you are running TW 4.4.4 give it a shot. But please, please do a backup or install with the manual method.

12/14 Tested/Working on NK2

Tired of losing 1/4 of the screen... Me too. This uses all of the real estate.
Sorry I have to shrink the screen shot so much..

5x5 Home has 1 more grid in Hot Seat as well
Downloads:
You can temporarily get from post until I fix Download link issues.

Installation Instructions (Flashing)
Always make a backup before flashing this or anything else
1) Download zip and put on SD card.
2) Reboot recovery. Choose install zip from SD.
3) Navigate to zip file and flash
4)Reboot and enjoy. No need to wipe anything

Installation Instructions (Manual):
1)Download any other launcher from playstore. (Just in case)
2)Download zip and unzip. Put apk (and odex file if odexed) on SD card
3)Use root explorer. Go to system/priv-app. Find TouchWizHome.apk. RENAME to TouchWizHome.apk.bak (odex.bak for odex)
4) Copy apk (and odex) from SD to system/priv-app. Change permissions rw-r-r
7) Reboot

If you have an issue, or you don't like it, just delete modded apk and rename .bak back to TouchWizHome.apk and you will be back to stock

Hi, wich file you modified? I have galaxy s4 i9505 with lollipop

And what, if I don't want a custom Rom?

Is there a mod to get 5x5 home with stock rooted?

You can replace the TouchWizHome.apk in system/priv-app/TouchWizHome with the one from the Kurama rom here http://xdaforums.com/note-4/snapdragon-dev/kurama-rom-mm-6-0-1-online-t3374171. Remember to rename the file from TouchWizHome_2016.apk to TouchWizHome.apk and set the correct permissions. I've just tried it myself
