Background

I have a Note 7 (SM-930FD Exynos processor which is the version sold mainly in Singapore and Philippines) installed Note FE rom and running fine for month. For what ever reason last night I rebooted the phone and encounter the deadly 'Custom binary blocked by fro lock' (in red) message. After many hours in panic mode, this is how I manage to 'rescue' it. Credits to those folks who posted the solution. I am just posting this for the ease of those searching. Credits goes to those who posted the various file and methods.

Steps :

1. Download the stock rom from here : https://firmwarex.net/samsung-note-7-sm-n930f-stock-rom-flash-file/
- I use the file : FirmwareX.Net_SM-N930FD_N930FXXU2BPI7_N930FOLB2BPI5_XXV_6.0.1_Full.rar (2.3gb), download through google drive (fast)
- password is 'FirmwareX.Net'
- Getting the original firmware for your device is the most difficult step. Note 7 original firmware is not hosted on sammobile :(

2. Download Odin from : https://odindownload.com/download/
- I use SamsungOdin 3.12.3
- unzip all the file from the firmware .rar file
- there should be 5 .md5 files extracted from the firmware rar file.
- load the files into the correct box, file name starting with AP goes to AP, etc
- for your ease, see the Odin screenshot attached below

3. Boot your Note 7 into download mode
- hold [Power] + [Volume Down] + [Home Button]
- when presented with an option to go into recovery mode, press volume up
- Here is some instruction with pictures : https://www.fonepaw.com/solution/enter-samsung-recovery-download-mode.html

4. Plug the phone in. Click on the start button.

5. Once completed successfully it will auto reboot and you Note 7 will reboot into the original Samsung Rom.
- Note : all previous data will be gone! (there is no known way to save it - as far as I know. I am glad I am able to recover it the use of the phone).
- Highly recommended : enable developer mode and select OEM unlock to prevent future 'Custom Binary blocked by frp issue'
- See here for instruction : https://www.the***********.com/enable-oem-unlocking-on-android/

6. Rejoice and give thanks!

What's Next?

1. I installed TWRP boot for the ability to install custom rom : https://xdaforums.com/note-7/development/recovery-official-twrp-galaxy-note-7-t3446047

2. I installed this Aurora ROM (Andriod 8) and it works perfectly on my SM-930FD (need to follow the instructions to the letter!).

3. Don't worry, now that you have the Original Samsung ROM for your SM-930FD device, any screw up you can use Odin to flash the original rom again! Never ever get bricked again! Hoorah!!
