Noob. Advice needed. S8+ Screen Brightness

Hi all.

First off apologies if I am in the wrong area to post this but I believe I would need a rom to do this. I don't know if I am in the right section though. There's is such a wealth of information here that I am over whelmed a bit tbh.

I shall post what I wish to achieve and then hopefully someone can point me to the right place.
I use my phone (s8+) as a sat nav on my motorbike. But I find the screen brightness isn't good enough when in the sun. I have a power source to charge it, so I was hoping there was a rom that would allow me to really amp up the brightness? I might not be able to do this I realise but would love it if I can!

Again apologies if I'm on the wrong place to ask for this help.

You don't have to flash a custom rom for this, there's an app called 'adjbrightness' by XDA member fantastxmw which helps you do just this. You'll have to root your phone for it.
