Hi everyone! Is there a working exchange services apk for the stock Email app in Omni 7.1? I'm on 7.1.1-20170101-bullhead-WEEKLY.

The only solution I found so far is to use Email 6.3 and Exchange Services 6.2. Both are horribly out of date though and I'd very much like to update to the latest version.

I tried but I can't figure out a way to install the odexed Exchange2 app from the final omni6 release to /system/app without issues, it keeps force closing.

Will build a version for Omni 7.1.

EDIT: Exchange2.apk attached. Has been built using Omni sources, and confirmed to be working on 7.1

Thanks for spending your time on this! Sadly it's not working for me. Installed it on 7.1.1-20170212-bullhead-WEEKLY and it keeps force closing. Is there any special step I should take? Like move it to /system/app or anything?

Looks like a permission thing, so yes, if you have root, put the .apk into /system/app and reboot. That should do.

Edit: According to the manifest of the Email app, both apps (Email and Exchange) need to be signed with the same key.

Code:
<permission
        android:name="com.android.email.permission.ACCESS_PROVIDER"
        android:protectionLevel="signature"
        android:label="@string/permission_access_provider_label"
        android:description="@string/permission_access_provider_desc"/>
    <uses-permission
        android:name="com.android.email.permission.ACCESS_PROVIDER"/>
I upped both now, put them both into /system/app and it *should* work out.

It's working, thank you very much!

I really hope this will be merged into the official weeklies, it shouldn't have been removed in the first place.
