Waited 5 days. No use. Still getting those drops...
Oh and everytime I'm forced to do a hard reboot coz of this, my notification tone and wallpaper switches to default... :/
Any suggestions?
I'm planning on trying out Boeffla to see if that fares any better.
O/w will be switching to stock...

P.S. I'm using Franco Kernel r11 for 7.1.2 . This is the correct one, right?

Havent used Franco for quite a while, so dont know. But have had very good experience with both Boeffla and BlueBolt.

Just remember to dirty flash rom or boot.img from your rom. This resets kernel to stock and is the best base to flash another.

Good luck!

Oh. OK. Thanks.
Before RR, I also used to use Boeffla and had a pretty good experience with it.
Regarding what you said about dirty flashing the ROM or using the boot image, is it ok to flash on top of Franco?
Unfortunately, I deleted the ROM file on the same day I flashed Franco.
Rather than downloading the whole ROM again, is there any other way to get the boot.img?
I'm still on the 1007 version anyway.

Yes, that is how you should do it. By dirtyflashing rom or flashing boot.img from rom, you overwrite the Franco kernel and go back to the one from rom. You need the rom for either, or have someone give you the boot.img. You can find boot.img inside the rom zip.

I'm anyway planning to update to the latest stable build (1012), so flashing that should restore the old kernel, right?
No issues in doing that?
(I already have the 1012 file and if possible not to re-download the 1007 again. not much data left in this month's quota)

That will do the trick.

Any romfile that contains boot.img (Witch is the kernel) will overwrite the custom kernel you have installed.

This rom has the boot.img in the zip.

let me put it like that, no details, just a hint:

if you want to fly to the moon and once you reach your destination the mission is accomplished and your journey has come to an end.

choice is to either choose a new project to join or you retire and enjoy what has been accomplished.

i never understood why anyone would dislike a piece of software that is not further taken care of as long as what we have works flawlessly and/or
an investment of further resources would be in vain.

i suggest you either enjoy this rom as it is and sooner or later join oreo, this is you feel an urge for rapid and significant changes/development.

this is not meant personally or solely in reply to one recent post. i see this and much worse comments about roms and kernels that come to an end of their life cycle a lot and for many many years and since this rom does really not need any fixes and further development i thought i would take the opportunity to make this genereal statement, at least for those who still read here, also because there is always a hint of a complaint/whish/demand included in this kind of question/remark

Recording failure

Looks I cannot record videos longer than 30 sec. I tried also with openCamera. Does not stop at 30 but reports that the file is corrupted.

Any solution to this?

Next release will probably be my last update for Nougat unless I need to handle any bug reports etc or find something interesting that I have to add or there is an update in RR nougat sources. Will wait for RR sources to upgrade to O then we will see how it'll all pan out.
